When you’ve been married 6 years, and have been commuting back and forth to be together, but are finally settled into a new home in the same city you celebrate! This is exactly what Carin and Ben did. What started out as simple city portraits with Lauren Renee turned into a talented team of wedding pros coming together to give Carin and Ben a dreamy anniversary celebration at The Wintergarden at PPG Place.
We chose a black and white color palette to complement the venue. Velvet brought warmth! The table dripped in velvet linens from Event Source, a stark contrast to more modern ghost chairs, ceramic dishware and concrete floral containers. But all of the textures blended together so beautifully- each detail tying into the next!
May favorite detail? On their one-year anniversary, Carin and Ben wrote letters to one another. Calligrapher Judith Brown penned them beautifully onto rich paper for this anniversary celebration.
Carin and Ben now have an adorable little man. Their thoughts on love? “The most honest thing we can say about love is that it’s complicated. It’s wonderful and beautiful and heart-breaking and difficult and dizzying and magical and overwhelming and exhausting and it’s so much bigger than words.” You can see more, and read a full interview with the couple, at the feature on The White Wren!
